It originated from crosses between local Anatolian-type horses and Arabian horses, as well as Eastern horses (Karabakh, Kabardin). The objective was to create a robust, fast, and enduring horse, adapted to mountainous conditions and military and agricultural needs. The breed is officially recognized in Turkey.

Conformation and physique

It is a medium-sized horse, compact and muscular, with solid bone structure. It has a harmonious silhouette, typical of mountain horses, combining robustness and agility.
