Privacy Policy for the Equio mobile application.
Personal Data Protection (GDPR) - Version 1.3 - Effective: June 11, 2026
Preamble
This Privacy Policy informs users of the Equio application and the equio.fr website about how personal data is collected, processed, stored and protected under GDPR and applicable data protection law. Sections 1 to 9 primarily concern the application; Section 10 is dedicated to the equio.fr website and its cookies.

No payment data is collected or stored directly by the publisher. Payments are handled by Apple or Google Play.
2 - Legal bases
Processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interest, legal obligation or consent where required.
3 - Automated decisions and profiling
The App uses an AI model, including Google Gemini, to analyse submitted images and ingredients. No automated decision producing legal effects or significantly affecting the user within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR is made.

5 - Subprocessors and transfers outside the EU
Equio uses Google Firebase, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Gemini / Imagen, RevenueCat, Apple App Store and Google Play. Transfers outside the EU are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
6 - Rights of data subjects
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and non-profiling. To exercise them, use the App features or contact contact@equio.fr. Response within 1 month.
You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In France: CNIL.
7 - Data security
- TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit

8 - Push notifications and trackers
The App may send service push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging if enabled. The App does not perform cross-app advertising tracking and does not use advertising identifiers for targeting.
9 - Guest access
The App offers guest access through Firebase anonymous authentication. Guest data may be converted to a full account or deleted if not converted.
10 - Website equio.fr: cookies and analytics
The equio.fr website is separate from the app. It is hosted by Google Ireland Limited (Firebase Hosting) and uses cookies and trackers subject to your prior consent.

In accordance with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, these analytics and advertising trackers are disabled by default. No such cookie is set until you give your consent via the banner displayed on your first visit (Google Consent Mode v2 mechanism).
You may freely accept or decline, and declining does not prevent access to the website. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing the site's browsing data (cookies and local storage) in your browser: the banner will reappear on your next visit.
The data controller remains Marie Dadomo (see Preamble for contact details). Data collected via Google Analytics and Google Ads is processed by Google; transfers outside the European Union may occur, governed by Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You have the same rights over this data (access, objection, erasure…) as described in Section 6, exercisable at contact@equio.fr.
11 - Changes
The publisher may amend this Policy. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days before taking effect.
